Diving further South
The Atlantic side of the Cape is mainly dived in the summer months of October to February. The visibility is usually in the 10 meter range and which, after a South Easter blows, can go up to 25m! Average temperature for these dives is typically in the region of 12-13°C, but can drop to the 9-10°C range. (Definitely better on the warmer days) A good quality 5 or 7mm wetsuit will do the job, but grabbing a semi-dry or dry suit can only improve your dives. However if you do decide to brave the chill the Atlantic offers some phenomenal diving!
